Wildlife Rehabilitation
Everyone loves a cute and cuddly critter story, right? Sadly, not all wildlife stories are happy ones.
Did you know more than 500K animals are killed on Tasmanian roads every year? That’s nearly 1 every 60 seconds, every day, 365 days a year!
Did you know that Tasmania has the highest number of roadkill in the world? That’s not a statistic to be proud of.
For the last 4 years, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of hand-raising orphaned wildlife through to release on our rural property in Tasmania. Each individual animal is a 6- to 9-month commitment.
My family and I take in tiny orphaned macropods (meaning big-footed) from wildlife rescuers (specifically, Tasmanian pademelons and Bennett’s wallabies) and give them around-the-clock care (bottles, toileting and LOTS of love) until they are wild enough to return to their rightful place.
Being a kangaroo mum is incredibly rewarding, and I feel deeply blessed to have wildlife in my life. Instead of having to keep toddlers from following me to the bathroom, I have to keep little roos out.
Our released macs often hang around or come and visit, knowing that I always have a pocket of natural almonds (their treats) or a piece of apple for them. One of my favourite places in summer is to be outside at dusk, saying hello to some of our mob or sitting back in my recliner with a joey in a pouch on my chest having a nap. Picture it… kanga legs stretched out, having a groom (yes me also!) and a kiss. Now that’s my kind of bliss!
Being a wildlife rehabilitator is 100% voluntary and not funded by any government or private organisation. Investing in me and my enterprise, means supporting orphaned wildlife through our Huntingdon Lodge Wildlife Sanctuary.

Social Responsibility & Charitable Donations for High-need Demographics
I’m deeply passionate about mental health, especially for young people, individuals and families.
With existing government- and non-government-funding not making a dent in the number of families in desperate need of individualised support, I will be launching a social responsibility initiative in 2026, where 5% of every resume service purchased will be donated to an Australian charity. I’m seeking a deserving organisation delivering wrap-around, person-led and family-based clinical/therapeutic services and community-based projects for at-risk, highly vulnerable and trauma-debilitated individuals and families in Australia!
I have become aware of a Tasmanian-based organisation that has designed a “Tasmania-first” new direction therapeutic counselling model for families by first healing trauma-debilitated parents before intense therapy with young people. Unlike other providers, they specialise in addressing the rising concerns around children struggling with “school-challenged behaviours,” supporting at-risk, highly vulnerable and trauma-debilitated individuals and preventing and responding to family and sexual violence across the rural/remote Southern Midlands in Tasmania.
Watch this space! Investing in me and Total Resumes will soon be supporting mental health.
I’m an introvert!
I’ve worked extremely hard to hone my craft over the last decade, but you won’t find me searching for the spotlight. I’ve worked with some of the world’s top executive resume writers as a ghostwriter, where my work was passed off as theirs. I also trained and mentored under Gayle Howard (now retired), without doubt Australia’s best executive resume writer over the last 30 years.
I’m in my element creating outstanding, story-based resumes recognised by my peers, executive recruiters, clients, and hiring managers for a remarkably analytical and powerful style. I also leverage deep knowledge of the job market and the intensity of a job search, having worked in employment services and recruitment for many years.
I’ve elicited information from even the most restrained of clients… resulting in resumes that provide clients just like you with a competitive edge by capturing your particular vision, work style, brand, energy, and accomplishments.
Clients often tell me…
“I don’t like blowing my own trumpet.”
“I’m great at writing strategies for billion-dollar companies, but I don’t know where to start in writing about myself.”
“I don’t know what my unique market differentiators are.”
I offer you outstanding credentials and a global reputation, with these advantages.
